2026-2027 Head Coach - Wrestling JobID: 37496 Position Type: Athletics/ Extracurricular/AthleticsDate Posted: 10/21/2026Location: Middle School - School of ExcellenceDate Available: TBD Closing Date: Until FilledDistrict: Capital School District Additional Information: Show/HideDescription: Head Coach - WrestlingTerms of Employment: After School Program WorkReports to: Athletic Director at Middle School CampusSalary: EPER Salary ScheduleMinimum Qualifications:Understand the characteristics and needs of the athletes you coachUnderstand the components of a training session and the competitions relevant to the athletes being coachedAppropriate communication, management and coaching skills for the athletes being coachedEssential Duties and Responsibilities:Work with the Principal, Athletic Director, players and parents to conduct the season.Maintain accurate records, and results of the seasonServe as an advocate and role model for the academic, ethical, and moral development of students.Coordinate with feeder programs to include community youth teams.Managing resources and equipmentDemonstrate cooperation with other sports team coaches and support all sports programsPlanning and managing training sessionsBuilding a positive, supportive and inclusive team environment that provides for athletic enjoyment, success and challengeEnsuring the health and safety of the athletes you are coachingFollowing all aspects of the DIAA rules (Delaware Interscholastic Athletic Association)Work cooperatively with the principal and coaching staffPhysical Demands:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential duties and responsibilities of this job.
