Responsibilities: + Complete risk assessments to develop controls to reduce exposure to different elements. + Evaluate Forklift and ergonomic activities to reduce risks and implement safeguards against common incidents. + Perform noise monitoring activities and determine necessary PPE, barriers, and additional risks imposed on the shop floor. + Review waste program and audit to meet and comply with RCRA regulations and review permits for plant locations to determine non- conformities. + Understand how to classify waste via RCRA determinations and evaluate non-conformities to produce corrective actions. Present in safety committee meetings. + Further develop existing safety programs such as Confined Space, Hazardous Material, Fall Protection, and Lock out/Tag out. + New process implementation and process improvement, involving developing procedures and completing problem analysis. + Assist managers in the write-up and review of safety documents.
