Mercury Systems is seeking a motivated and innovative Manufacturing Test Engineering Intern eager to learn, contribute, and bring fresh ideas to our high-speed Processing Module manufacturing operations. In this hands-on role, you''ll support test engineering activities within a fast-paced manufacturing environment, working directly with production teams to improve test processes, troubleshoot issues, and contribute to the development of next-generation manufacturing test solutions for mission-critical electronic systems.
Job Responsibilities:
Support the development, debug, and validation of automated test procedures for high-speed Processing Modules on the production floor
Assist in troubleshooting test failures and collaborate with engineering to drive root cause analysis and corrective actions
Contribute to manufacturing process improvement initiatives aimed at increasing test yield, throughput, and efficiency
Help design, build, and qualify test fixtures and equipment used in production test stations
Analyze test data to identify trends, recurring failures, and opportunities for process optimization
Create and maintain test documentation, work instructions, and standard operating procedures
Partner with Manufacturing, Quality, and Design Engineering teams to resolve production issues in real time
Support new product introduction (NPI) activities by helping transition test processes from engineering to production
Perform calibration checks and routine maintenance/inventory of manufacturing test equipment
Provide general engineering support to test engineers and production technicians as needed
Required Qualifications:
Currently enrolled in a university program pursuing a bachelor's or master''s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, manufacturing engineering, or a related technical discipline
A minimum GPA of 3.1 is required. You will be asked to submit your transcripts during the review process
Familiarity with a modern scripting language, such as Python, for test automation
Basic understanding of electronic test equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, logic analyzers)
Exposure to digital and analog circuit fundamentals
Familiarity with Linux development environments and tools
Familiarity with Atlassian tools such as GIT/BitBucket for version control
Familiarity with AI tools to support engineering productivity and problem solving
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented manufacturing environment
