Quantitative Master's Internship Program

This program mirrors the MBA Internship but is tailored for master's students in quantitative disciplines - giving you the same exposure and impact, with a focus on advanced analytics and problem-solving.

Eligibility: Students enrolled in analytics, computational finance, financial engineering, mathematics and/or a quantitative-disciplined master's program and graduating between September 2027 and July 2028 with relevant pre-master's work experience

SpiderRock is a leading provider of options-based investment solutions and risk management strategies for wealth management clients. As part of BlackRock's U.S. Wealth Advisory business, SpiderRock specializes in customized options overlay strategies designed to help advisors and investors manage downside risk, generate income, and improve tax efficiency. The team combines deep derivatives expertise, advanced analytics, and innovative technology to deliver personalized investment solutions that address complex portfolio needs.

This function is known for:

• Creating, communicating and delivering investment solutions for our clients worldwide while also developing marketing strategies for new business growth - including cultivating relationships with key distributors of our investment products
• Being a fast-paced, high-visibility environment where our work covers some of the most important and strategic relationships for the firm

What capabilities are we looking for?

• Strong curiosity about exploring and understanding financial markets and the asset management industry
• Strong proficiency and demonstrated experience working in all Microsoft Office applications, particularly Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
• Relationship management
• Attention to detail
• Ability to synthesize large amounts of data and information effectively
• Outstanding interpersonal skills; ability to communicate and partner at all seniority levels
• Strong project management skills with the ability to navigate multiple stakeholders and contributors to an initiative or project

For San Francisco, CA and New York, NY only: The salary ranges for these positions are below. Please note, salary rates for a role are determined by department or team within a Business Area, as well as location of the role.

Salary Range (Semi-Monthly Rate)

Client & Product Functions: $5,500 - $7,500

Technology: $6,500 - $8,000
