About the Role:
As a Travel RN in the CVICU, you will play a vital role in delivering top-tier intensive care to pediatric patients with complex cardiac conditions. Your expertise will help stabilize and improve patient outcomes in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. This position offers an exciting chance to expand your skills, work alongside passionate professionals, and enjoy the flexibility of travel nursing.

Required Skills:

Pediatric cardiac care experience, including managing chest tubes, pacing wires, ventilators, and vasoactive infusions
Current RN license (TX or compact)
BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (AHA)
Ability to work independently and demonstrate clinical competence in critical care settings
Strong assessment and intervention skills, with attention to detail and patient safety

Nice to Have Skills:

Experience with long-term pediatric cardiac patients
Ability to delegate effectively and lead care teams
Additional certifications in pediatric or critical care nursing

Preferred Education and Experience:

Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing (preferred)
At least 1 year of experience in critical care or pediatric cardiac units (new graduates considered with appropriate training)

Other Requirements:

Minimum minimum weekly schedule of 7 PM to 7 AM on night shifts
Must have pediatric cardiac-specific experience (chest tubes, pacing wires, ventilators, vasoactive infusions)
Willingness to travel and adapt to diverse clinical environments
Successful completion of hospital-specific orientation and competency validation within the first 30 days
