The Oregon School District is hiring for one Building Substitute Teacher per building within the district (7 total positions) to work on days that school is in session for the 2026-27 school year.
Position Summary: Key responsibilities include following lesson plans, supporting students' academic and behavioral needs, creating a positive and inclusive learning environment, and maintaining professionalism with students, staff, and families. Candidates must be able to adapt to various grade levels and subjects, follow district policies, maintain accurate records, and communicate effectively with school personnel. Attendance at professional development, and PLC sessions or help with the child care program on Mondays is required, unless otherwise approved.
The schedule for grades K-6 is generally 7:30 AM - 3:30 PM and grades 7-12 is 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM including a paid 30 minute lunch. If you work 130 hours per month or more, you are eligible for health insurance. You will received 3 paid holidays, 40 hours of sick leave, and you may be eligible for Wisconsin Retirement. This is a one-year position for the 2026-27 school year.
The start date will be August 24, 2026. Hours and professional development may vary between buildings during the week of August 24 - August 28. The first day of school for students is September 1, 2026.
