Challenger Lifts, Inc., a division of Snap-on is seeking a candidate that would be responsible to cut, shape, and form parts and articles from various materials to make a complete product according to customer specifications. Starts out at $23.75/hr, attendance incentive and $2 shift differential. Hours are 4:00pm to 2:30am, Monday to Thursday and every other Friday..
Responsibilities:
Skilled use of drill presses, lathe’s, mills, laser and other Industrial Machine shop equipment
Reading and understanding product schematics and assembly instructions
Verifying dimensions and product specifications
Marking and cutting lines on material
Ensuring that all parts are properly fitted, aligned and screwed in
Ensure that quality control standards are met
Troubleshoot and stress test products to minimize problems or recalls
Report and detail product malfunctions
Conduct equipment preventive maintenance and change overs, as needed
Adhere to safety standards
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
High School diploma or GED.
Organizational skills, ensuring precision, orderliness and neatness.
Ability to handle stressful situations in a calm and effective manner.
Willingness to take on responsibilities and challenges and be a self starter.
Able to work overtime as needed.
Must be able to stand for long periods of time and work extended hours.
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds periodically throughout the day.
Must be able to work as a team player.
Must align with the Snap-on mission statement
Must wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) which includes; Hi-Vis Vest, Steel Toe Shoes, Safety Glasses or Prescription Safety Glasses (If Applicable), Gloves (If Applicable), and Ear Plugs (If Applicable).
