Machinist Job Responsibilities Set up and operate CNC Machines (Haas, Okuma, PAMA, etc.) Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions to ensure accurate productionSelect appropriate tooling, fixtures, and materials for each jobPerform in-process quality checks using precision measuring instrumentsMake program edits and offsets as needed to maintain tight tolerancesTroubleshoot machining issues and optimize setups for efficiency and qualityMaintain a clean and organized work areaFollow all safety procedures and contribute to a safe working environmentCollaborate with programmers, engineers, and team members to meet production goals and deadlinesAssist with preventative maintenance and basic machine upkeepOther duties as assignedDirect customer contact may be required at times.Qualifications3+ years of CNC machining experience in a job shop or high-mix environmentProficiency in setting up and operating CNC machines, preferably Haas, Okuma, PAMA, etc.Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, and Technical drawings Experience with precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, indicators, etc)Solid understanding of machining processes, tooling, speeds, and feedsStrong problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude Ability to work independently and manage multiple jobs or setups Commitment to quality, accuracy, and safety High school diploma or equivalent; technical or trade school training preferred Physical Requirements: bending, stooping, kneeling, reaching, climbing ladders, must be able to lift up to 40 poundsAbility to read complex engineering drawing and work in close tolerances.Ability to program CNC equipment a plus.Attention to detail and a sense of urgency.Benefits (available upon first day of employment): Medical Dental Vision401kVacation Personal Days Competitive wages Nidec Minster Corporation will not accept unsolicited resumes from individual recruiters or third party recruiting agencies in response to Nidec Minster Corporation job postings.
