We’re partnering with an established flexible packaging manufacturer seeking a hands-on Maintenance Technician for its Carol Stream facility. This role supports production through equipment troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance.

Job Details

What You’ll Do

Install, maintain, and repair electromechanical equipment, including motors, PLCs, sensors, conveyors, pumps, and control panels.
Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
Read and interpret technical schematics, wiring diagrams, and blueprints.
Perform routine and preventive maintenance to support reliable production.
Work with production teams on equipment upgrades and process improvements.
Document maintenance work, parts usage, and technical findings.
Assist with equipment calibration and testing.
Follow OSHA requirements, GMPs, food safety standards, and company safety procedures.

What We’re Looking For

Hands-on industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
Experience working with motors, PLCs, sensors, and industrial controls.
Familiarity with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
Ability to read schematics, wiring diagrams, and blueprints.
A dependable, safety-focused approach and the ability to work independently and with production teams.

Schedule & On-Call Requirements

This is a second-shift position with a required on-call rotation approximately every fourth or fifth weekend.

During your assigned weekend, you will take home a company cell phone and receive four hours of on-call pay automatically. If called into the facility, you will receive an additional minimum of four hours of pay, or pay for actual hours worked if longer.
