Full-Time | 2nd Shift Penmac Staffing is hiring an experienced Material Handler (Forklift Operator) for a manufacturing facility supporting large-scale data center production. This position is ideal for candidates with solid forklift experience, warehouse skills, and experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Important: This is a 2nd shift position, but candidates must be available to train on 1st shift for 3 to 6 weeks before transitioning to their regular shift assignment. Mandatory overtime is required based on production demands.Requirements for the Material Handler
- Previous forklift experience required
- At least 2 years of manufacturing, warehouse, material handling, or related experience preferred
- Ability to safely operate forklifts and move materials throughout the facility
- Ability to read a tape measure and blueprints preferred
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Experience with hand tools and power tools is a plus
- Must be willing to submit to a drug screen
- Must be willing to work mandatory overtime when required
Material Handler Responsibilities
- Safely operate forklifts to transport materials, parts, and finished products throughout the facility
- Supply production areas with materials needed to meet manufacturing schedules
- Package and prepare finished products for shipment
- Perform quality checks and complete required production paperwork
- Follow all safety policies and procedures
- Communicate effectively with production teams to support workflow and efficiency
- Assist with loading, unloading, staging, and inventory-related activities
- Assist in other departments as needed to support production goals
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Physical Requirements & Work Environment
- Manufacturing environment with exposure to heat, cold, noise, and fumes
- Fast-paced setting with moving equipment, sharp edges, and high production activity
- Frequent pushing, pulling, bending, kneeling, reaching, grasping, and lifting
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed
- Ability to stand and move throughout the shift
