A.J. Rose Manufacturing is seeking an experienced 2nd Shift Production Manager to lead our stamping operations and support the continued growth of our manufacturing team. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who is passionate about developing employees, creating a positive culture, and driving operational excellence.
 
As the Production Manager, you will oversee daily manufacturing operations, mentor supervisors and production employees, and ensure safety, quality, and delivery goals are achieved. The successful candidate will combine strong leadership skills with a deep understanding of metal stamping and precision manufacturing processes.
 
Key Responsibilities
People Leadership & Team Development
  • Lead, coach, and mentor supervisors, leads, and production team members.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, respect, and continuous improvement.
  • Support employee development through training, cross-training, performance feedback, and career growth opportunities.
  • Address employee concerns and resolve conflicts in a professional and constructive manner.
  • Promote employee engagement and maintain a positive workplace culture.
Production Planning & Execution
  • Develop and oversee production schedules to meet customer requirements while maximizing efficiency and minimizing downtime.
  • Monitor production performance and ensure on-time delivery of customer orders.
  • Balance production priorities while maintaining safety and quality standards.
Metal Stamping Process Optimization
  • Implement best practices in die setup, press operations, and material handling.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives that improve productivity and reduce waste.
  • Identify opportunities to increase equipment utilization and improve workflow efficiency.
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum of 5 years of production management experience within a metal stamping, precision manufacturing, or similar industrial environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and develop manufacturing teams.
  • Strong conflict resolution, communication, coaching, and employee development skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of:
    • Progressive die stamping
    • Transfer press operations
    • Punch presses
    • Tool & die maintenance
  • Ability to analyze production data and drive measurable performance improvements.
