Overview:
Seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to lead daily shift operations within an automated food manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for driving safe, efficient, and high-quality production while leading hourly employees, monitoring performance metrics, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who can effectively manage a production team and make sound decisions in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. 

Job Duties: 

• Lead and oversee hourly production employees, providing clear direction, training, coaching, and performance feedback.
• Plan and assign daily production activities to meet safety, quality, productivity, and cost objectives.
• Monitor key production metrics including staffing levels, operational efficiency, and material/scrap loss.
• Enforce safety, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), housekeeping, and company policies.
• Maintain accurate production records, attendance information, labor schedules, and safety documentation.
• Identify opportunities to improve production methods, equipment, processes, and working conditions.
• Partner with management to communicate production results, challenges, and opportunities for improvement.
• Foster a positive, respectful team environment focused on accountability, employee development, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications: 

• Bachelor’s degree preferred, or 5+ years of Production Supervisor experience in an automated manufacturing environment.
• Experience leading hourly production employees in a manufacturing setting.
• Knowledge of food manufacturing processes, procedures, and technology.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Ability to plan ahead, prioritize effectively, and develop action plans to achieve results.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word; experience working with an ERP system such as SAP or Oracle.
• Ability to work any assigned shift, including weekends and overtime as needed.
• Must successfully complete required post-offer physical, drug screening, and background check.
