Position Overview

Arrow Staffing is hiring dependable and motivated 2nd Shift Production Operators for a growing manufacturing company in Walker, Michigan. This is a great opportunity for individuals who enjoy hands-on work, operating machinery, and being part of a team that produces high-quality products.

As a Production Operator, you will operate manufacturing equipment, monitor product quality, handle materials, and help ensure production runs safely and efficiently. This position offers opportunities to learn multiple areas of production and develop valuable manufacturing skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate and monitor production machinery and equipment.

• Load, unload, and stage raw materials and finished products.

• Read and follow work orders, production instructions, and specifications.

• Inspect materials and finished products for quality, accuracy, and defects.

• Use measuring tools to verify product dimensions and specifications.

• Assist with preparing and handling materials used in the manufacturing process.

• Monitor equipment performance and report mechanical issues or production delays.

• Assist with basic troubleshooting and minor equipment adjustments.

• Maintain accurate production records and documentation.

• Follow all workplace safety procedures and wear required PPE.

• Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of safety hazards.

• Cross-train in different production areas and assist team members as needed.

Qualifications & Skills

Required:

• Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.

• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

• Basic math and measurement skills.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Preferred:

• Previous manufacturing, production, or machine operating experience.

• Experience using hand tools, power tools, or industrial equipment.

• Ability to read a tape measure and basic production drawings.

• Forklift or material handling experience.

• Basic machine troubleshooting or quality inspection experience.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.

• Frequent bending, reaching, kneeling, and occasional climbing.

• Ability to regularly lift up to 50 pounds and occasionally handle up to 75 pounds with assistance as needed.

• Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with machinery, noise, dust, and varying temperatures.

• Ability to work safely around forklifts, overhead cranes, and production equipment.
