QC Inspector – 2nd Shift

We are seeking a dependable, detail-oriented QC Inspector to support quality-control activities in a manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for inspecting adhesive, woven, and unitape products; verifying production documentation and machine setups; identifying nonconforming material; and maintaining accurate quality records.

Important schedule requirement: This position will train on 1st shift for the first month. After training is completed, the employee will transition to the regular 2nd-shift schedule of approximately 12:00 PM–8:00 PM. Start and end times may vary by approximately one hour based on production needs. Candidates must have flexibility to work either shift during training, as needed, and to work overtime.

Pay: $21.50

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and required personal protective equipment (PPE) practices.

  • Review and verify work orders against applicable Statements of Requirements (SORs) for adhesive, woven, and unitape products.

  • Verify and approve machine setups for unitape, Coater 4, Coater 7, and laminator equipment.

  • Inspect in-process and finished products to ensure compliance with Product Control Cards (PCCs), Manufacturing Specification Cards (MSCs), customer requirements, and internal quality standards.

  • Identify, inspect, flag, and communicate defective or nonconforming material.

  • Complete inspection defect logs and other required quality documentation accurately and on time.

  • Prepare Discrepant Material Reports (DMRs) for nonconforming products and report quality concerns to the appropriate personnel.

  • Perform washout testing for Fiber Area Weight (FAW) and resin content in the in-process laboratory to support unitape operations.

  • Conduct viscosity testing on mixed resin samples.

  • Verify resin-mix work orders against approved recipes and production schedules.

  • Maintain internal retention samples for potential customer complaints, investigations, or quality review.

  • Perform calculations related to resin content percentage, fiber area weight, and other material-quality measurements.

  • Support compliance with AS9100 quality-system requirements and customer specifications, including defense-related customer requirements.

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.

  • Communicate quality issues, inspection results, and documentation needs clearly to production, quality, laboratory, and supervisory personnel.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
