Future increases are based on performance and merit.What You'll DoAs a Quality Inspector / Packer you will verify that powder coated parts meet quality standards and that they are properly packed for safe transport. Your daily responsibilities may include:
- Inspecting powder coated parts for quality issues & flagging parts that do not meet quality standards
- Counting parts and comparing them to their ticket to check for quantity or order discrepancies & alerting team when count or other order details do not match.
- Safely taking down parts from racks using crane, lift, or other methods
- Packaging parts to customer's specification using foam, cardboard, or other protective product prior to wrapping and strapping pallets
- Maintaining hooks and plugs
What to ExpectAttention to detail is important. We strive for a high level of customer satisfaction.You are the final check before the customer receives their order. You will act as a filter catching the parts that do not meet quality standards and sending them to be reworked. Additionally, how well or poorly a customer's order is packed will influence how they perceive the rest of our quality standards. In other words, both quality and presentation matter. When the inspection & packing process works as intended, our customers might even dare to imagine that we never have quality issues because they only ever see passable parts packed neatly for transport. We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work and speaks up when issues arise.
Dependability is a must. Regular attendance, arriving on time, and being ready to work at the beginning of your scheduled shift are essential to this position.You should also be comfortable:
- Following written and verbal instructions while working as part of a team
- Maintaining a steady pace without sacrificing accuracy, quality, or safety
- Standing for an 8+ hour shift, performing repetitive hands-on work, and regularly bending, reaching, and stooping
- Lifting 50+ lbs. and helping move racks or parts as needed
No powder coating experience is required. This is an entry-level position, and employees who perform well and want to learn are encouraged to train in other areas of the company.
