Position Overview

Stand-By Personnel is seeking dependable and detail-oriented Warehouse Pickers and Packers for a second-shift, temp-to-hire opportunity at a distribution center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Associates will be assigned to either the Picking or Packing Department, where they will help prepare merchandise for shipment to retail locations. This position requires accuracy, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain productivity in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Candidates must have at least one year of relevant warehouse experience, with three years preferred.

This opportunity offers $17.00 per hour, with a Sunday–Thursday schedule beginning at 3:30 PM. Employees must remain available until daily work is completed, with possible Friday overtime.

Required Experience & Qualifications

  Minimum 1 year of relevant warehouse experience required; 3 years preferred

  High school diploma or GED required
  
• 
  Previous order picking, packing, or distribution center experience preferred
  
• 
  Ability to accurately verify product numbers, quantities, and shipping labels
  
• 
  Familiarity with RF scanners or warehouse tracking systems preferred

  Basic computer skills

  Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  
• 
  Ability to meet productivity and accuracy standards
  
• 
  Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

  Comfortable standing, walking, bending, squatting, and reaching throughout the shift

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Associates will be assigned to either Picking or Packing based on operational needs.

Picking Department

• 
  Locate and pull merchandise from warehouse inventory according to customer orders.
  
• 
  Verify item numbers, product descriptions, and quantities for accuracy.
  
• 
  Use RF scanners or other tracking systems as required.
  
• 
  Inspect merchandise for visible damage or quality concerns.
  
• 
  Organize picked products for the next stage of order fulfillment.
  
• 
  Maintain established picking productivity and accuracy standards.
  

Packing Department

• 
  Pack merchandise securely into boxes or shipping containers.
  
• 
  Verify order contents, product quantities, and shipping labels.
  
• 
  Inspect items for damage or defects before packaging.
  
• 
  Use RF scanners or warehouse tracking systems as required.
  
• 
  Prepare completed orders for shipment according to company procedures.
  
• 
  Maintain established packing productivity and accuracy standards.
  

General Warehouse Responsibilities

• 
  Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas.
  
• 
  Follow all warehouse safety procedures and company policies.
  
• 
  Report order discrepancies, damaged merchandise, or safety concerns to supervisors.
  
• 
  Work closely with team members to complete daily order fulfillment requirements.
  
• 
  Perform additional picking, packing, and warehouse duties as assigned.
  

Order Accuracy & Productivity

Candidates must be comfortable working in a fast-paced distribution environment where accuracy and efficiency are essential.

Responsibilities include verifying merchandise, following order instructions, and meeting established departmental productivity goals.

Strong attention to detail is necessary to prevent picking and packing errors.

Physical Requirements & Work Environment

This is a physically demanding warehouse position requiring extended periods of standing and walking.

Candidates must be comfortable with:

  Frequent bending, squatting, reaching, and repetitive movements

  Standing and walking throughout the shift

2nd Shift: Sunday–Thursday
Start Time: 3:30 PM
End Time: Until Daily Work Is Completed

Friday overtime may be required depending on warehouse workload and shipping demands.
