Qualifications:

Education/Certification :

driver's

Experience:

Minimum

three

years

of

experience

in

the

Athletic

field

maintenance

required,

with

lawn

care

and

athletic

fields

maintenance,

and

the

operation

and

maintenance

of

mowing

equipment

Major

Responsibilities

and

Duties:

1.

Supervise

and

lead

the

athletics

field

maintenance

crew

in

the

preparation,

maintenance,

and

repair

of

athletic

fields,

facilities,

and

surrounding

grounds.

2.

Plan

and

coordinate

daily

work

schedules

and

assignments

to

ensure

all

athletic

fields

are

safe

and

functional

and

meet

district

and

athletic

program

standards.

3.

Inspect

athletic

fields

regularly

to

assess

conditions,

identify

maintenance

needs,

and

ensure

compliance

with

safety

and

playability

standards.

4.

Operate

and

maintain

a

variety

of

turf

and

grounds

maintenance

equipment,

including

mowers,

tractors,

utility

vehicles,

aerators,

and

irrigation

systems.

5.

Oversee

the

layout

and

marking

of

athletic

fields

for

games,

practices,

and

events

according

to

sport-specific

regulations.

6.

Manage

field

renovation

projects,

including

grading,

sodding,

seeding,

fertilizing,

and

irrigation

repairs.

7.

Ensure

proper

use

and

maintenance

of

tools,

equipment,

and

materials;

perform

minor

equipment

repairs

as

needed.

8.

Train

and

supervise

crew

members

in

safe

and

efficient

work

practices,

equipment

operation,

and

maintenance

standards.

9.

Collaborate

with

athletic

staff,

coaches,

and

administrators

to

schedule

field

use

and

prepare

facilities

for

events.

10.

Maintain

inventory

of

supplies

and

materials;

prepare

work

orders

and

reports

as

required.

11.

Ensure

compliance

with

all

safety

procedures,

environmental

regulations,

and

district

policies.

12.

Perform

all

other

duties

as

assigned.
