Position: Facility Engineer-Full-Time Third Shift Salary: $18.92/Hour, Negotiable, plus shift and weekend differential, if applicable. Location: Resort Division Reports to: Facility Manager
RESUME IS REQUIRED WITH APPLICATION
In accordance with the Gaming Ordinance, all non-gaming employees whose annual income reaches $50,000 or more will be required to obtain and maintain a valid gaming license.
Responsibilities:
- Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and repair services on property structures, electrical systems, plumbing, HVAC, furnishings and more.
- Conduct routine repairs and maintenance on swimming pools, saunas, whirlpools, stage equipment and convention hall equipment.
- Maintain environmental controls including air exchange filters, smoke eater filters and air ducts.
- Replace light bulbs and water filters as needed.
- Conduct routine inspections and document any damage or defects found.
- Enter maintenance information accurately into departmental records.
- Make recommendations for improvements to the Facilities Manager.
- Work independently and complete tasks within specified timeframes.
- Maintain excellent attendance and punctuality
- Adhere to dress code and organizational policies and regulations.
- Comply with the Casino’s Drug and Alcohol-Free Workplace Policy.
- Stay updated on regulations and policies affecting maintenance operations.
Qualifications & Education:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Completion of a journeyman apprenticeship in millwright, construction, electrical, plumbing, electronics, HVAC or commercial building maintenance preferred.
- Minimum two years of commercial trades experience
- Above average carpentry, finishing, and general construction skills.
- Ability to work independently and from written directions.
- Proficiency in reading assembly instructions and architectural/shop drawings
- Effective knowledge of job-related tools
- Basic computer skills for logging activities
- Strong problem-solving abilities
- Willingness to undergo background checks and drug screenings.
- Flexibility to work all shifts, weekends and holidays
- Positive attitude and teamwork mentality
- Demonstrated satisfactory working record in prior employment
- Must have a valid Wisconsin driver's license, be willing to travel and dependable transportation. Must meet and maintain this eligibility to operate a personal or tribal vehicle under the driver acceptability guidelines as established by Mohican Nation Insurance
- Must be at least 18 years old.
Physical Requirements/ Work Conditions:
- Ability to walk, sit, stand, reach, handle tools and communicate effectively.â¯
- Must have the manual dexterity for handling tools, including measuring tools.â¯
- Must be able toâ¯lift and/or move up to sixty (50) pounds on a regular basis.
- Comfortable working in various environmental conditions and heights
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, color vision and depth perception and the ability to adjust and focus; with the aid of prescription glasses/contacts, if needed.â¯

- The work environment is non-smoking and dust-free; and noise levels may vary depending on location and work area.â¯
