Job Description
- Pay Rate: $19.16/hour, weekly pay.
- 3rd Shift: Sunday–Thursday, approximately 10:30/11:00 PM–6:30/7:00 AM
- IMPORTANT – Mandatory Overtime
Overtime is frequently scheduled on Fridays and Saturdays. When overtime is scheduled, it is MANDATORY and is not optional. Candidates must be available and willing to work required overtime.
The Machine Operator is responsible for safely operating production equipment while meeting Cooper Standard's safety, quality, and production standards.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Safely operate assigned machinery and related equipment
- Follow all safety procedures and required PPE guidelines
- Read and follow standard work instructions
- Operate vertical bar machines used to manufacture electrical connectors
- Perform quality inspections using gauges, micrometers, and calipers
- Verify correct components before beginning production
- Package finished parts
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Previous machine operation experience
- Good basic math skills
- Experience using gauges, micrometers, and calipers
- Ability to stand, bend, and perform physical work for 8–10 hours
- Ability to work mandatory overtime, including Fridays and Saturdays when scheduled
