About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated 3rd Shift Mixer to join our manufacturing team in Santa Ana, California. This role involves preparing and combining raw ingredients to produce consistent dough batches efficiently and safely, ensuring timely delivery to the processing line.

Key Responsibilities:

• Combine raw ingredients from silos, bulk bins, and scaled ingredients into the mixer according to prescribed formulas to produce consistent dough batches.
• Obtain scaled ingredients and liquids, accurately weighing and staging them for efficient mixing.
• Mix ingredients to achieve the required dough consistency based on touch, look, and taste, maintaining proper line speed and preventing dough build-up.
• Verify dough consistency with process operators before dumping into troughs and deliver troughs to the processing line with proper positioning, including use of lift systems if applicable.
• Operate, monitor, and perform basic maintenance on mixing equipment and systems, reporting issues promptly.
• Complete all necessary paperwork accurately and communicate any process or product changes to subsequent shifts.
• Assist with cleaning equipment, utensils, and tools during changeovers and post-production, adhering to GMP and safety standards.
• Support training of new employees on mixing techniques and equipment operation, following safety protocols such as LOTO procedures.
• Support changeovers, machine setup, and cleaning procedures to minimize downtime.
• Perform simple mathematical calculations and follow instructions from formula sheets precisely.
• Detect and report equipment maintenance or safety issues that could affect production quality and safety.
• Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and practices, including safety and Lockout-Tagout protocols.
• Support other duties as assigned by supervision.

Required Qualifications:

• Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations.
• Valid certification to operate powered industrial trucks (PIT).
• Ability to read and follow written instructions from a formula sheet.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently during shift.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in dough mixing or food manufacturing equipment operation.
• Knowledge of GMP, safety standards, and Lockout-Tagout procedures.

Work Environment / Physical Requirements:

• Capable of lifting up to 40 lbs.
• Able to work on the 3rd shift in a manufacturing environment.
• Adaptable to noise, temperature, and safety gear typical of a production setting.
