Job Overview

Alianza Staffing is seeking a dependable, professional, and detail-oriented Security Guard to help maintain a safe and secure environment at a residential property during overnight hours.

The Security Guard will be responsible for monitoring designated areas, conducting routine property patrols, identifying and reporting security concerns, maintaining accurate documentation, and responding appropriately to incidents in accordance with established security procedures.

Applicants must possess a valid, current South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) Security Officer Registration. This credential is required for consideration.

The ideal candidate demonstrates sound judgment, professionalism, strong observational skills, and the ability to work independently during overnight shifts.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Monitor entrances, exits, common areas, parking lots, and other designated areas to help maintain property safety and security.

• Conduct routine foot patrols throughout the residential property, including parking areas, pool areas, buildings, and surrounding grounds.

• Identify, observe, and report suspicious activities, unauthorized access, safety hazards, property damage, and potential security concerns.

• Maintain accurate daily activity logs, security reports, and incident documentation.

• Follow established access control procedures, including visitor verification when required.

• Respond to security concerns and non-emergency incidents in accordance with company policies and site procedures.

• Contact property management, supervisors, law enforcement, or emergency services when necessary.

• Communicate professionally and respectfully with residents, guests, visitors, management, and emergency personnel.

• Report maintenance concerns, safety hazards, or unusual property conditions to the appropriate personnel.

• Follow all applicable security regulations, property policies, and emergency response procedures.

• Perform assigned security responsibilities independently while maintaining alertness and situational awareness throughout the overnight shift.

Minimum Qualifications

Required Qualifications

• Valid, current South Carolina SLED Security Officer Registration. Applicants must maintain the registration required for their assigned security duties.

• Ability to provide verification of current SLED registration during the hiring process.

• Valid driver's license.

• Reliable transportation to and from the assigned work location.

• Ability to work the scheduled overnight shift from 12:00 AM to 8:00 AM.

• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English to complete security reports, understand instructions, and respond to incidents.

• Basic report-writing, documentation, and communication skills.

• Ability to follow instructions, enforce property rules within assigned authority, and respond professionally to security-related situations.

• Ability to work independently and exercise appropriate judgment.

Preferred Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• At least one year of experience in security, law enforcement, military service, customer service, or a related field.

• Previous experience providing security services at residential communities, hotels, resorts, or similar properties.

• Familiarity with incident reporting, access control procedures, and emergency response protocols.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during the assigned shift.

• Ability to conduct routine foot patrols throughout the property.

• Ability to occasionally climb stairs and navigate indoor and outdoor areas.

• Ability to remain attentive and aware of surroundings while performing overnight security duties.

• Ability to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.
