4K Teacher

We are seeking a passionate, energetic, and dedicated 4K Teacher to join our early childhood team. In this role, you will create a nurturing, play-based environment that fosters the social, emotional, cognitive, and physical growth of four-year-old learners. You will design engaging curricula, build strong partnerships with families, and lay the foundation for a lifelong love of learning.

Key Responsibilities

• Instruction: Plan and deliver high-quality, play-based lessons aligned with early learning standards.
• Environment: Maintain a safe, clean, inclusive, and stimulating classroom that encourages independent exploration.
• Assessment: Monitor child development through observation, portfolio documentation, and formal screening tools.
• Partnership: Lead parent-teacher conferences and provide regular communication regarding student progress.
• Leadership: Supervise, guide, and collaborate effectively with a classroom assistant or co-teacher.
• Compliance: Ensure all classroom activities meet state licensing regulations and school board policies.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a closely related field.
• Licensure: Hold (or be eligible for) a valid Wisconsin DPI Early Childhood teaching license.
• Experience: Minimum of 1 years teaching in a preschool, 4K, or kindergarten setting preferred.
• Certifications: Current certification in Pediatric CPR, AED, and First Aid (or willingness to obtain).
• Skills: Strong communication, active listening, conflict resolution, and classroom management abilities.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to bend, kneel, squat, and sit on the floor to interact with children at their eye level.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds in emergency situations.
• Stamina to supervise outdoor playtime in various weather conditions.
