Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in education
  • ODE Resident Educator License or Permanent Teaching License for Elementary (P-3)
  • Ability to work with diverse groups
  • Demonstrated knowledge of early childhood curricula and practices
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal

Position Description:

The elementary teacher will demonstrate proficiency in the following areas:

  • Deliver instruction in a manner that allows students to remain on task by utilizing a variety of instructional techniques.
  • Demonstrate appropriate academic planning and organization.
  • Design and employ a variety of objective and consistent assessment techniques to evaluate learning and development.
  • Collect and analyze data to evaluate the effectiveness of instruction.
  • Establish and maintain effective classroom control.
  • Reinforce appropriate social and academic interventions using constructive methods.
  • Maintain professional interactions with other educational personnel, parents, and the community.
