What Youll Do
- Provide direct patient care using the nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
- Deliver both routine and complex care for assigned patients in a medical/surgical setting.
- Administer medications and treatments per appropriate protocols, and monitor effectiveness and side effects.
- Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided accurately and on time.
- Assess learning needs and provide patient/family/caregiver education aligned with scope of practice.
- Address psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families in accordance with your level of practice.
- Delegate/coordinate with other care providers to support safe, efficient clinical operations.
What You Need
Required
- Current RN license in the state of employment or compact state eligibility
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA)
Preferred
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- 1 year of experience in a related nursing specialty
