• Licenses/Certifications: Current NM RN license or Compact state license, BLS and ACLS from AHA
• Experience: Recent or experienced RN preferred

What You’ll Do

• Provide preoperative nursing care, including initial patient assessments
• Develop and implement individualized plans of care within established standards
• Reassess patients regularly and modify care plans accordingly
• Educate patients and families on health, procedures, and discharge instructions
• Perform point-of-care testing procedures accurately
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure safe, effective patient care
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies and nursing standards

What You Need
Required:

• Current New Mexico RN license or valid Compact state license
• BLS and ACLS certifications from AHA
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• Strong patient assessment and care planning skills
• Ability to communicate clearly and compassionately

Preferred:

• Prior experience in preoperative or surgical nursing
• Knowledge of EPIC electronic medical records
• Ability to adapt quickly to changing patient needs
