Position Overview:

DIHO Consulting is hiring General Laborers / Delivery Helpers to support both a wood and building materials distribution warehouse and assist with deliveries to job sites as needed. This is a physically active role requiring reliability, teamwork, and a strong work ethic.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with loading/unloading trucks and checking in merchandise

• Pull materials, pack boxes, and place orders in the delivery staging area

• Sort and place items on racks, shelves, or bins per warehouse standards

• Open bales, crates, and containers

• Maintain inventory by recording received/distributed items and assisting with physical counts

• Prepare materials for distribution to job sites and internal departments

• Keep warehouse clean and organized: sweep, dust, mop, and maintain workspace

• Off-load, put away, pick, and stage materials and equipment

• Operate forklifts for designated tasks (if certified)

• Wear proper PPE at all times (steel-toe boots, safety gloves, safety glasses)

• Assist in general maintenance and perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Education: High School Diploma or GED

• Age: Must be 18 years or older

• Experience: Prior warehouse experience preferred

• Forklift Certification: Preferred, not required

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift 30 to 75 lbs consistently

• Able to perform repetitive tasks and stand for long periods

• Mechanically inclined a plus; ability to operate tools or basic machinery

PPE Required:

• Steel-toe boots

• Safety gloves

• Safety glasses

Descripción del Puesto:

DIHO Consulting está contratando Ayudantes Generales / Auxiliares de Entrega para apoyar tanto en el almacén de distribución de madera y materiales de construcción, como en la entrega de materiales a sitios de trabajo, según sea necesario. Es un trabajo físicamente activo que requiere puntualidad, trabajo en equipo y responsabilidad.

Responsabilidades Principales:

• Ayudar con la carga y descarga de camiones y verificación de mercancía

• Preparar pedidos: recoger materiales, empacar cajas y colocar pedidos en el área de entrega

• Clasificar y colocar materiales en estantes, estanterías o contenedores según los estándares del almacén

• Abrir pacas, cajas y otros contenedores

• Mantener control de inventario, registrar materiales recibidos o distribuidos y ayudar con inventarios físicos

• Preparar materiales para su distribución a obras o departamentos internos

• Mantener el área de trabajo limpia y ordenada: barrer, trapear, quitar polvo

• Descargar, almacenar, seleccionar y preparar materiales o equipos

• Operar montacargas para tareas específicas (si tiene certificación)

• Usar equipo de protección personal (PPE) todo el tiempo (botas con punta de acero, guantes, gafas de seguridad)

• Apoyar en el mantenimiento general y otras tareas asignadas

Perfil del Candidato Ideal:

• Trabaja con urgencia y compromiso por la calidad

• Se adapta a entornos dinámicos y cambiantes

• Profesional, responsable y con altos estándares de conducta

Requisitos:

• Educación: Diploma de preparatoria o equivalente (GED)

• Edad: Mayor de 18 años

• Experiencia: Se prefiere experiencia previa en almacén

• Licencia de montacargas: Se prefiere (no es obligatorio)

Requisitos Físicos:

• Capacidad para levantar entre 30 y 75 libras constantemente

• Realizar tareas repetitivas y permanecer de pie durante largos períodos

• Habilidad mecánica es una ventaja; uso de herramientas o máquinas básicas

Equipo de Protección Personal (PPE) Requerido:

• Botas con punta de acero

• Guantes de seguridad

• Gafas de seguridad
