Job Responsibilities

As a School Transportation Driver, you will:

• Safely transport school-aged children to and from school and other authorized destinations.

• Operate vehicles in compliance with all applicable state and federal traffic laws.

• Safely operate sedans, minivans, and wheelchair-accessible vehicles as assigned.

• Assist students with entering and exiting the vehicle safely.

• Ensure students are properly secured using seat belts, car seats, booster seats, and other required safety restraints.

• Maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable vehicle environment.

• Communicate professionally with students, parents, school personnel, and company dispatchers.

• Follow assigned routes and maintain punctual pickup and drop-off times.

• Perform routine vehicle safety checks and report maintenance concerns.

• Follow all company policies and student transportation safety procedures.

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.

• Valid driver's license held for at least 3 consecutive years.

• Satisfactory driving record with no license suspensions.

• Ability to successfully complete required background checks, including CORI and SORI.

• Massachusetts School Pupil Transport (7D) Certificate preferred but not required to apply.

• Dependable, punctual, patient, and professional.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work safely and respectfully with children of different ages and abilities.
