Facilities Planner 3 (2nd Shift)
Location: Newport News, VA
Shift: 2:30 PM - 11:00 PM
Pay Rate: $38.00/Hour (No OT)

Position Overview
Northrop Grumman Newport News Shipbuilding is seeking an experienced Facilities Planner 3 to support facilities maintenance, contractor coordination, equipment maintenance planning, and facility improvement projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, scheduling, and coordinating maintenance activities while ensuring efficient utilization of facilities, resources, budgets, and personnel.
This position serves as a key liaison between maintenance teams, contractors, and project stakeholders to ensure facilities projects are completed safely, on schedule, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and coordinate facilities maintenance activities and maintenance schedules.
Manage facility space utilization and support organizational efficiency initiatives.
Coordinate equipment and machinery maintenance activities.
Support facilities modifications, infrastructure improvements, and building projects.
Manage contractor activities, schedules, and project deliverables.
Coordinate material ordering and ensure timely availability of resources.
Monitor project budgets, schedules, milestones, and technical performance.
Identify project risks and develop effective solutions to maintain project objectives.
Serve as the primary point of contact for facilities maintenance and project activities.
Lead project reviews involving cost, schedule, and technical performance.
Establish project milestones and monitor adherence to master schedules.
Collaborate with internal teams and external contractors to support successful project execution.
Prepare reports, documentation, and project status updates.
Support compliance with company safety and operational requirements.

Familiarity with facilities management systems and maintenance tracking tools.
Experience working in safety-sensitive environments.
