988 Crisis Line Volunteer

NMHC AmeriCorps members with CONTACT The Crisis Line support local crisis response efforts by providing assistance with calls, texts, and chats while helping expand access to mental health resources. Members receive training in crisis intervention and support 988 awareness through community outreach and education. Responsibilities may include assisting with volunteer recruitment and onboarding, promoting mental health resources, building community partnerships, supporting program evaluation, and strengthening crisis services. This opportunity provides hands-on experience in crisis response, mental health education, and community-based support.
