A&P Mechanic IV

About the Job: In this role, you will receive, store, organize, and issue hand/power tools, machine fixtures, dies, and calibrated measuring devices at Sierra Nevada Corporation’s Colorado operations. You will be responsible for cleaning, oiling, performing minor tool maintenance, and tracking surplus or obsolete tooling. Working in a safety-sensitive manufacturing environment, you will ensure all equipment remains fully functional, calibrated, and kept in safe working condition to support continuous production workflows.

What We’re Looking For Education & Experience

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent with 2+ years of relevant experience in tool crib management, inventory control, or manufacturing support.

• Hands-on knowledge of the proper use, routine maintenance, and minor repair of a wide variety of hand, power, and precision tooling equipment.

• Strong attention to detail, organization, and recordkeeping skills in an active production environment.

Must-Have Skills

• Tool & Equipment Maintenance: Proven ability to inspect, clean, oil, repair, and maintain hand/power tools, fixtures, dies, and measuring devices to preserve operational safety and functionality.

• Tool Crib & Inventory Tracking: Experience issuing, receiving, stocking, and systematically tracking tooling inventory, calibrated equipment, and surplus/obsolete items.

• Physical & Safety Adherence: Ability to regularly lift/carry up to 50 lbs., navigate shop-floor noise/hazards, and strictly adhere to safety and personal protective equipment (PPE) protocols.

Nice-to-Have Skills (Preferred)

• Experience with the TCMax Asset Management Suite or similar tool tracking software.

• Background in the Aerospace & Defense industry, U.S. Department of Defense (DoD), or U.S. Military tool crib operations.
