Machinist - Integrex Weekend Shift

Your Role and Impact

The Machinist is responsible for setting up and operating advanced machining equipment to produce precision components that support Flowserve's manufacturing operations.

This role plays a critical part in maintaining product quality, meeting production goals, and supporting operational excellence through safe and efficient machining practices. The successful candidate will utilize machining expertise, blueprint interpretation, and precision measurement skills to manufacture high-quality components while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate machine tools and manufacturing equipment to produce precision components.

• Perform machining operations using established manufacturing processes, work instructions, and quality requirements.

• Operate Integrex and other CNC machining equipment to support production objectives.

• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) specifications.

• Utilize precision measuring instruments including micrometers, dial indicators, depth gauges, and other inspection equipment.

• Verify dimensional accuracy and product conformance throughout the machining process.

• Support equipment maintenance and repair activities through inspections, troubleshooting, and basic maintenance tasks.

• Follow all safety, environmental, and operational procedures to maintain a safe work environment.

• Ensure compliance with quality standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.

• Communicate effectively with production leaders, team members, and support personnel.

• Maintain accurate production documentation and inspection records.

• Support continuous improvement efforts focused on safety, quality, productivity, and operational performance.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and engineering documentation.

• Knowledge of machining principles, manufacturing processes, and mechanical components.

• Experience using precision measuring tools including micrometers, dial indicators, and depth gauges.

• Ability to interpret geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) requirements.

• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications

• Two or more years of machining experience in a manufacturing or repair environment.

• Experience operating Integrex, CNC lathes, CNC mills, manual lathes, or milling machines.

• Experience performing machine setups and tooling adjustments.

• Knowledge of cutting tools, tooling applications, speeds, and feeds.

• Experience using precision measurement and dimensional inspection techniques.

• Familiarity with manufacturing quality systems and inspection procedures.

• Strong planning, organization, and workload prioritization skills.

• Experience troubleshooting machining and production-related issues.
