MEDIA SCHOOL (BL-MSCH-IUBLA)
Department Information
The Media School at Indiana University (IU) is built on a decades-long tradition of journalism, film, media, and communication at one of the nations premier public universities. Our programs focus on teaching, researching, and creating media from academic, creative, and professional perspectives. The Media School is committed to building and supporting a strong community of students, scholars, practitioners, and staff.
The Media Advising team is a group of professional academic advisors and administrators dedicated to providing support and expert guidance to undergraduate students in The Media School. Media advisors specialize in The Media Schools curriculum and advise students seeking degrees and other academic credentials from The Media School.
In addition to school specific support, The Media School is also part of the College of Arts and Sciences and therefore benefit from both the College Advising team and the Colleges Academic Engagement and Student Experience team (AESE). The AESE includes the Walter Center for Career Achievement, the College International Programs Office, and the Colleges Undergraduate Recruiting Team. The person in this position will be part of a wider community of academic advisors on campus and beyond. We subscribe to National Academic Advising Associations (NACADAs) "4 Pillars of Academic Advising" and embrace opportunities for continuous personal and professional growth.
