Provide academic assistance to students in specific subjects corresponding to COD curricula and serve as a resource to other academic assistants and peer tutors. Face-to-face or online tutoring may occur one-on-one, in small or large groups, or a class. Ability to work without direct supervision.
Provide course-based academic assistance to students in courses where tutor has subject-matter proficiency.Provide tutoring in person and online, one-on-one, and in group session formats.Maintain current and relevant knowledge in subject areas and general study skills, such as note taking, test preparation, test taking, time management, etc.Serve as a resource to other academic assistants and peer tutors.Conduct workshops, class visits, and Strategic Success sessions for students as requested by the supervisor.Keep current on resources in order to compile or make recommendations for same.Perform electronic and paper record-keeping tasks to include recording visit notes and timekeeping tasks.
