Academic Program Operations & Curriculum - Apprenticeship

Summary:

The Academic Program Operations & Curriculum Apprentice supports academic program development through project-based work aligned with curriculum design, accessibility, and program communication. This role provides advanced, career-related learning closely tied to the student's academic program and professional interests.

The apprentice works independently on defined projects and produces tangible deliverables that contribute directly to course quality, student experience, and program effectiveness.

Job Responsibilities:

• Create detailed content maps for assigned courses to document learning objectives, activities, and assessments

• Evaluate courses using a standardized rubric and summarize findings with actionable recommendations

• Correlate course content and compentencies

• Assist in developing timelines that prioritize course revisions based on instructional need and student impact

• Draft professional communication materials (e.g., marketing emails, SharePoint content, internal documentation) for review and approval

• Create social media posts to engage alumni and recruit new students

• Support organization and maintenance of program resources in SharePoint or Canvas

• Manage assigned projects independently, meeting deadlines and incorporating feedback

• Participate in regular check-ins with the supervisor to discuss progress, challenges, and learning goals

Learning Outcomes:

By the end of the apprenticeship, the student will be able to:

• Analyze and map academic course content across a multi-course program
• Apply evaluation rubrics to assess course design and instructional effectiveness
• Develop project timelines and prioritize work based on program goals
• Translate institutional requirements into actionable academic guidance
• Produce professional communication artifacts for academic and healthcare audiences

Minimum Qualifications:

• Enrollment as an undergraduate or graduate student

• Strong written communication skills

• Ability to work independently and manage deadlines

Preferred Qualifications:

• Coursework or interest in healthcare, education, instructional design, or administration

• Familiarity with Canvas or similar learning management systems

• Experience with Microsoft Office or SharePoint

Position Pay: $16.25/hr

Hours per week: 10-15 hours

Start Date: 08/24/2026

End Date: 04/16/2027
