Amore Learning is seeking skilled, engaging educators to provide individualized academic tutoring for students in PreK through 8th grade. We are especially interested in tutors with experience in early literacy, foundational math, executive functioning, and upper elementary writing and math 2 though strong candidates in other subject areas are encouraged to apply.This role is ideal for educators seeking flexible, meaningful work while maintaining high instructional standards.Location Amore Learning Office: 4900 Massachusetts Ave NW, Washington, DCStudents' homes (primarily NW DC and nearby neighborhoods)Responsibilities Deliver individualized instruction aligned to student needsStrengthen core academic skills (literacy, math, writing, or other subject specialties)Monitor progress and communicate clearly with familiesFoster student confidence, independence, and strong study habitsQualifications Experience working with children in PreK–8th gradeStrong content knowledge in at least one academic areaAbility to differentiate instruction for varying learning stylesProfessional, reliable, and organizedExcellent written and verbal communication skillsPreferred (but not required): Teaching certification (current or former)Training in Science of Reading, Orton Gillingham, or structured literacyExperience with math intervention or number sense instructionBackground in executive functioning or writing supportCompensation $60–$90/hour, based on education, certifications, subject expertise, and experience.Why Join Amore Learning?
