2026-2027 Accelerating Campus Excellence (ACE) Middle School Fine ArtsTeacher - Potential Opening

The position for an Accelerating Campus Excellence (ACE) Fine Arts Teacher will potentially be available at East Central ISD for the 2026-2027 school year. All individuals (district employees included) who are interested in this position must apply online through Frontline via the district website. PRIMARY PURPOSE: Provide students with appropriate learning activities and experiences in the core academic subject area assigned to help them fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth, enable students to develop competencies and skills to function successfully in society.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Provide classroom instruction in the basic concept of fine art to include music/art/theatre arts based on TEKS in those areas.
  • Allow students to develop and organize ideas from the environment related to fine arts.
  • Instruct students to express ideas through original artworks, using a variety of media with appropriate skills.
  • Instruct students to demonstrate an understanding of art history and culture as records of human achievement.
  • Instruct students to make informed judgments about personal artworks and the artworks of others in all media.
  • Allow students to describe and analyze musical sounds and demonstrate musical artistry.
  • Instructs students to perform a varied repertoire of music.
  • Instruct students to read and write music notation.
  • Instruct students to create and arrange music within specified guidelines.
  • Instruct students to relate music to history, society, and culture.
  • Instruct students to respond to and evaluate music and musical performance.
  • Create lessons that both teach and involve the student.
  • Prepare students for annual music/theater performances/art exhibits.
  • Maintain current information on professional organizational development and workshops.
  • Maintain a Fine Arts budget.
  • Establish and maintain open communication by conducting conferences with parents, students, principals, and teachers.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education/Certification:

Bachelor's Degree

Appropriate Texas Teacher's Certificate Art EC-12

WORKING CONDITIONS: Mental Demands/Physical Demands/environmental Factors: Maintain emotional control under stress. Frequent standing, stooping, bending, kneeling, pushing, and pulling. Move small stacks of textbooks, media equipment, desks, and other classroom or adaptive equipment. May be required to lift and position students with physical disabilities; control behavior through physical restraint; and assist non-ambulatory students. Exposure to biological hazards.

SALARY: Based on the 2026-2027 Classroom Teacher Salary Scale plus additional $10,000 stipend
