Account Development Executive

THE LOCATION

This position reports to our Princeton, NJ offices. POSITION SUMMARY:Octane is seeking a client development professional to penetrate existing accounts and identify new clients and opportunities outside our current client base.  The qualified candidate must possess excellent people skills, superb communication skills and a positive attitude. The successful candidate will have experience in the life sciences industry, but above all will be a great communicator with a passion for delighting clients.

THE WORK

• Research organizations and individuals to find new opportunities (e.g. on LinkedIn and other relevant industry sites and sources)
• Participate in creating and driving revenue
• Develop and maintain an in-depth knowledge of Octane’s services and value proposition, and the profile of our target customers
• Collaborate with Client Service teams in developing solutions for specific client opportunities
• Generate leads from trade shows and networking events
• Assist in creation of materials associated with sales opportunities, such as capabilities presentations, RFIs, RFPs, and proposals
• Support new marketing initiatives
• Identify new sales opportunities within existing accounts
• Reach out to clients to arrange meetings
• Attend business development/marketing meetings internally
• Create or contribute to required reports e.g. progress around marketing campaigns
• Other activities as needed

THE CANDIDATE

Bachelor's degree in marketing/business or science-related field.The following skills are key to the sucess of the candidate:
