Account Executive

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated, growth-minded Account Executive who takes ownership of their business and is driven to win. This role is responsible for generating new business, developing and managing client relationships, and growing revenue by strategically selling and upselling our full suite of television and digital advertising solutions.

The ideal candidate is a proactive self-starter who does not wait for opportunities to come to them. They consistently prospect, build a healthy sales pipeline, identify opportunities within existing accounts, and develop customized solutions that address clients' business and marketing objectives. Success in this role requires a strong sense of accountability, persistence, competitive drive, and the ability to consistently achieve or exceed established revenue and activity goals.

Responsibilities:

• Generate new and incremental revenue, with a strong focus on new business and digital revenue growth, and achieve monthly sales goals through proactive prospecting, business development, and outside sales. Identify prospective advertisers, build relationships with key decision makers, and maintain a qualified pipeline by consistently developing and closing new business through cold calling, networking, referrals, targeted outreach, and other lead-generation strategies.

• Manage client accounts, ensuring client satisfaction and maximizing revenue potential through strategic account growth, upselling, and cross-selling of broadcast, digital, streaming, and integrated marketing solutions.
• Conduct needs assessments to understand clients' business objectives, challenges, target audiences, and marketing goals, and develop customized broadcast and digital advertising solutions that address those objectives.
• Present compelling proposals and negotiate advertising contracts with a focus on converting opportunities into new and incremental revenue.
• Collaborate with internal teams, including sales management, creative services, and others, to ensure seamless campaign execution.
• Monitor campaign performance and provide clients with regular updates and reports, using performance insights to identify optimization, renewal, and additional revenue opportunities.
• Stay up to date on industry trends, digital advertising capabilities, emerging technologies, and competitive offerings to effectively position the station's comprehensive marketing solutions.
• Achieve and exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets, including established expectations for new business and digital revenue growth.
• Maintain accurate and timely records of prospecting activity, sales opportunities, pipeline development, client interactions, and account activity in the CRM system.
• Attend client meetings and industry events to develop relationships, generate leads, uncover new business opportunities, and expand the station's advertiser base.
• Demonstrate a consistent sense of urgency, self-motivation, and accountability in prospecting and business development, with success measured by the ability to generate new business,grow digital revenue, expand existing accounts, and maintain a healthy pipeline of qualified opportunities.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, or a related field preferred.
• Proven track record of exceeding sales targets and building strong client relationships.
• Strong understanding of the media landscape and digital marketing strategies.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.  
• Highly organized and detail-oriented.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.  
• Experience with Nielsen or other media measurement tools a plus.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Compensation - $70K Guarantee or Draw plus commission.
