ABOUT THE ROLE
We're a specialized provider of high-precision electronic calibration and measurement services, is seeking a detail-oriented, highly articulate Account Manager to join their close-knit team of 10 in the Bay Area.
This is primarily an inside sales, account administration, and relationship-maintenance role—not a cold-calling or heavy prospecting role. You will serve as the primary point of contact for assigned client accounts, ensuring seamless service coordination, accurate scheduling, and exceptionally high-quality customer communication.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
• Account Management & Retention: Act as the lead point of contact for assigned clients. Build long-term, trusting relationships through warm, proactive, and clear communication.
• Service Coordination & Scheduling: Coordinate annual and ad-hoc service schedules for on-site visits and in-house lab work. Earn commissions on booked service schedules.
• Substantive Client Engagement: Deliver detailed, helpful, and thorough communication via phone and email (going beyond brief, transactional responses to truly answer client needs).
• Administrative & Sales Support: Maintain accurate CRM records (Salesforce), generate pricing quotes, compile equipment lists, and support internal sales operations on back-end retention efforts.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with off-site service technicians, sales managers, and company leadership to maintain high customer satisfaction metrics and fast turnaround times.
WHAT WE NEED
• Experience: 3+ years in account management, customer success, or sales support—preferably within electronics, calibration, manufacturing, or a related technical environment.
• Communication Skills: Outstanding written and verbal skills. Ability to draft articulate, comprehensive, and warm emails that reflect a customer-first brand tone.
• Technical Mindset: Comfortable using CRMs (Salesforce preferred), MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), and quickly learning technical product/service terminology.
• Organizational Mastery: Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple account schedules independently without daily supervision.
• Location: Local to the Bay Area with full-time, 100% on-site availability at the Northern California facility.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Sales, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and hands-on experience).
WHAT WE OFFER
• Base Salary: $100,000 – $110,000 depending on experience.
• Incentive Compensation: Monthly performance bonuses (focused on retention and scheduling) + Annual commission for organic account expansion/new business.
• Benefits: Comprehensive Health, Vision, and 401(k) retirement plan.
• Career Growth: Opportunities for professional advancement as the team and business expand.
