We're looking for an experienced Account Manager to join our Client Services team in Houston. This is a pivotal role within the agency, responsible for leading client relationships, delivering integrated marketing programmes and identifying opportunities to grow and strengthen client partnerships.
You'll act as a trusted advisor to clients, balancing strategic thinking with hands-on project leadership to ensure campaigns are delivered effectively, efficiently and with measurable impact. Working closely with colleagues across client services, delivery, finance and business development, you'll play a key role in helping our clients and agency succeed.
What you'll be doing
Build trusted client relationships
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with client stakeholders.
- Understand clients' business objectives, challenges and opportunities.
- Act as a strategic advisor, providing marketing and communications guidance that creates value.
- Ensure client deliverables align with business goals and achieve desired outcomes.
- Manage multiple client accounts simultaneously while maintaining exceptional service standards.
Lead projects and campaigns
- Oversee the successful delivery of integrated marketing campaigns and projects.
- Work closely with delivery teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards.
- Develop clear, comprehensive briefs that align internal teams around objectives and expectations.
- Balance strategic account management responsibilities with day-to-day project delivery.
- Monitor project performance and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
Drive account growth
- Identify opportunities to expand existing client relationships and increase account value.
- Support new business activity and contribute to client acquisition efforts.
- Build account development plans that drive long-term growth.
- Support negotiations and commercial discussions as required.
- Stay informed on industry trends and emerging opportunities to bring fresh thinking to clients.
Manage commercial performance
- Take ownership of account budgets and financial performance.
- Work closely with the finance team to manage forecasts, billing plans, purchase orders and invoicing.
- Monitor project profitability and ensure accurate budget management.
- Minimise over-servicing through effective planning and resource management.
- Ensure time recording and project administration are completed accurately.
Collaborate across the agency
- Partner with colleagues across client services, business development, creative, digital and delivery teams.
- Work closely with the Traffic Manager to ensure resources and schedules remain aligned.
- Provide support and guidance to junior team members where appropriate.
- Foster collaboration across Fifth Ring's global locations.
- Champion agency processes, values and best practice

Essential
- Experience in an Account Manager, Client Services, Marketing or Agency role.
- Strong project management and organisational skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Experience managing multiple client projects simultaneously.
- Strong commercial awareness and budget management experience.
- Ability to build credibility and trust with clients at all levels.
- A proactive, solution-focused approach and a passion for client success.
Desirable
- Experience within a B2B marketing agency environment.
- Knowledge of integrated marketing campaigns, digital marketing and content strategy.
- Experience working with clients in energy, industrial, engineering, manufacturing or other complex B2B sectors.
- Experience contributing to business development and account growth initiatives.
- Exposure to international clients and markets.
