Opportunity Generation: Proactively surface new opportunities within assigned accounts, such as additional studies, expanded scope, new therapeutic areas, through regular check-ins and relationship-building.
Discovery & Qualification: Run discovery calls to understand an account's''s trial needs, patient recruitment challenges, and decision-making process; qualify opportunities and prioritize pipeline accordingly.
Proposal Development: Build and present tailored proposals and pricing that speak directly to an account's study design, therapeutic area, and recruitment/retention goals.
Deal Nurturing & Negotiation: Manage relationships through the full sales cycle, keeping momentum through follow-ups, objection handling, and internal coordination, all the way to contract execution.
Contracting: Partner with legal and leadership to finalize contract terms and ensure a clean, accurate handoff into onboarding.
CRM & Pipeline Management: Maintain accurate, up-to-date records of account activity, opportunities, and pipeline in the CRM to support forecasting and reporting.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with Commercial teams and Customer Success to ensure assigned accounts sustain long-term retention and growth.
Occasional Lead Generation: From time to time, support broader pipeline efforts by prospecting new clients, sponsors, or CROs through outbound outreach, networking, or referrals
Your Requirements
Clinical trial operational experience: hands-on background in clinical trial operations (e.g., CRA, site coordinator, CRO project support, sponsor-side trial management, or similar), giving you credibility and fluency when speaking with sponsors and sites.
Experience supporting patient recruitment, retention, or site support services.
Direct sales pitching experience: comfortable sitting face-to-face with clients to pitch services, present proposals, and close deals.
Account management experience: a track record of managing and growing client relationships, identifying expansion opportunities, and closing deals in a clinical research context.
Strong ability to build rapport and trust with sponsors and clients, translating technical/operational knowledge into a compelling client conversation.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, comfortable running discovery calls, delivering proposals, and negotiating terms.
Highly organized, self-motivated, and comfortable owning an account book and its pipeline independently.
Experience with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) and a commitment to clean, consistent data hygiene.
Nice to Have
Existing network or relationships within sponsor, CRO, or site organizations.
Familiarity with specific therapeutic areas relevant to Trial Library''s current client base.
