Accountant - AP/AR

Springborn Staffing is seeking an experienced accounting professional for a 10-12 week temporary assignment with an established organization in the Greater Portland area.

This position is focused primarily on accounts payable, accounts receivable, and account reconciliations. The role will process approximately 50 accounts payable invoices per week and complete approximately 5-10 account reconciliations per month, along with related accounting and data entry responsibilities.

This is a part-time position, approximately 20-24 hours per week, with the schedule generally spread over three days per week. There is some flexibility in scheduling.

Key Responsibilities

• Process accounts payable invoices accurately and efficiently
• Review invoices and supporting documentation for accuracy
• Enter accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
• Assist with billing and other accounts receivable activities
• Prepare and process vendor payments
• Perform account reconciliations and research discrepancies
• Maintain accurate accounting records and supporting documentation
• Assist with general ledger entries and account maintenance as needed
• Enter and maintain financial information within the organization's accounting system
• Provide general accounting and administrative support as needed

Requirements & Qualifications

• Previous hands-on accounts payable and accounts receivable experience
• Experience processing a moderate to high volume of invoices
• Account reconciliation experience
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong data entry and organizational skills
• Ability to research and resolve discrepancies
• Experience with accounting software and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
• ERP system experience preferred
• Experience with Tyler Technologies MUNIS is a plus
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
