    Description

    Accountant

    LHH is partnering with a large organization that is searching for a temporary Accountant for their team. Your main duties will include month end close, reconciliations, posting journal entries, and analyzing variance analysis. The manager is looking for someone with an accounting degree and at least four years of applicable work experience. Strong knowledge of GAAP and ability to function accurately in a fast-paced environment is key since this company is publicly traded.     Responsibilities
    • Prepare and maintain general ledger entries, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
    • Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual account reconciliations for assigned accounts.
    • Assist in the preparation of financial statements and supporting schedules according to the monthly close schedule.
    • Support external and internal audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
    • Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities.
    • Identify, investigate, and resolve discrepancies and irregularities in financial data.
    • Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely financial data flow.
    Qualifications
    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
    • Four or more years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in a large company environment.
    • Strong understanding of GAAP and other relevant accounting principles.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar systems).
    • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
    • Strong attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
    • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
