Capstone Development Partners is seeking a Senior Accounting Analyst to support its growing real estate development platform, with a focus on student housing and campus facilities development, construction projects, and property management.This role is designed for a seasoned accounting professional with 4+ years of experience who is eager to take ownership of development accounting and financial planning within a high-impact, entrepreneurial organization — bringing strategic perspective to financial operations and driving cross‑functional alignment across the business.The Senior Accounting Analyst will work closely with the CFO and accounting, development, and construction teams to support project‑level accounting, corporate budgeting and forecasting, cash management, and financial reporting across multiple entities and active developments. The Senior Accountant will report to the CFO.Key ResponsibilitiesProject & Development AccountingPrepare and manage monthly construction drawsCollaborate with development and construction teams on project budgets and budget‑to‑actual (BTA) reportingTrack job costs, commitments, and development expendituresPerform project‑level loan tracking and compliance requirementsPerform accounting across pre‑development, construction, and stabilized assetsCash Management & Treasury SupportOversee corporate and project bank accountsReview vendor payments, wires, and ACH transactionsMaintain daily/weekly cash tracking across entities and projectsPrepare monthly cash flow actual and forecast reportingBudgeting & Financial AnalysisPrepare and maintain corporate budgets and monthly forecastsWork with management and team members to inform budgets and forecastsTrack variance analysis and evaluate performance and trendsPrepare internal and external reportingWork with development teams to monitor project performanceSystems & Process ImprovementIdentify opportunities to improve efficiency and accuracyAssist with implementation of tools and systems (e.g., expense management, reporting tools)Support ongoing process documentation and standardizationPartner with development, construction, and property management teamsCoordinate with internal accounting team members, third‑party accountants, lenders, consultants, and project partnersContribute to a team‑oriented, accountable cultureQualificationsRequiredBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field4+ years of accounting experienceExperience with multifamily real estate, development, or construction accountingExperience with budgeting and forecastingStrong understanding of GAAP and multi‑entity accountingAdvanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, and complex formulas)High attention to detail and strong organizational skillsPreferredCPA license or working toward certificationCombination of public and private accounting experienceExperience with construction draws and job cost accountingFamiliarity with property management systems (e.g., Entrada) and/or QuickBooksExposure to the development lifecycle (pre‑development through stabilization)Interest in improving systems and processesStrong technology aptitudeWhy This RoleDirect exposure to real estate development and deal‑level economicsOpportunity to work closely with senior leadershipHands‑on experience in a growing, entrepreneurial platformClear path for growth into Controller/Finance leadership rolesPhysical & Travel RequirementsAbility to work for prolonged periods at a desk using a computerOccasional travel to the Birmingham, AL office may be requiredPay Range$90,000 - $110,000 USDEqual Opportunity EmploymentLPC is an equal opportunity employer that values diversity.
