Job Description
Accountant / Finance Mgr needs 3+ years of comparable accounting, degree in accounting, experience with big corporate, high volume environments
Accountant / Finance Mgr requires:
- IFRS16 and/or ASC842
- SAP proficiency
- MBA and/or CPA
- Retail industry experience
- GL accounting
- Big corporate , high volume experience
- Expert Excel
- ERP systems
- Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance
- Strong critical thinking and analytical skills
- In-depth understanding of internal controls and segregation of duties
- Advanced MS Excel
Accountant / Finance Mgr duties:
- Responsible for various lease-based accounting activities (e.g. accruals/deferrals, lease valuations, sales based rent, etc.).
- Completes month-end close duties accurately and timely (e.g. recording / approving journal entries, performing variance analysis, etc.).
- Interacts with accounting partners in North America and across the world
- Prepares/reviews reconciliations for various balance sheet accounts. Identify, communicate and resolve any reconciling items.
- Ensures compliance with IFRS accounting requirements, and internal controls.
- Works directly with internal and external auditors to ensure successful and timely completion of internal audits and quarterly/annual reviews.
- Proactively identifies and implements process improvements as necessary.
- Completes special project work as assigned
