Job Summary We are seeking a part time Accountant to join our team. In this role, you will manage the company’s bills and ensure all invoices are paid in a timely manner as well as process payments received into our TMS software. Responsibilities will include receiving and preparing accounts payable invoices, handling expense reports, processing receivables and assisting with audits. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, computer savvy, and has a strong understanding of accounting, payments, and budgets.
Responsibilities
Reconciling credit card and bank statements
Maintaining accurate general ledger journal entries
Preparing accounts payable invoices
Making payments promptly
Preparing sales and use tax returns
Providing support for audits
Collaborating with other departments to handle account issues
Qualifications
Associates or higher degree in accounting, finance, or a related field strongly preferred
Advanced knowledge of Excel and accounting software
Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint
Strong understanding of accounting principles and best practices
