Please note that due to Department of Defense contract requirements, U.S. CITIZENSHIP IS REQUIRED.Job: Accountant II (Revenue Accountant)The SCI Huntsville Accountant II (Revenue Accountant) will be responsible for maintaining contract records for ASC606 Revenue Recognition, ensuring compliance with federal regulations. Accurate revenue recognition and timely financial reporting. This role will work closely with the SCI Contracts team as well as the SCI Program Management group.The Accountant II will report to the Division Controller. This role has growth potential and high visibility within Sanmina Corp and will interface with internal and external auditors and internal leadership.Nature of Duties Maintain revenue recognition processes under federal contracting standardsDevelop and execute efficient accounting practices and controls; challenge and overhaul effective processes.Work closely with SCI Contract/SCI FP&A team to develop insightful integrated financial forecasts.Collect and interpret financial data to influence, recommend or compel management toward logical decisions consistent with company objectives.Identify any potential risk consistent with direction provided by the Division Controller and Corporate Accounting.Other duties as assigned.Other Requirements Impeccable business ethicsCourage to identify and address uncomfortable facts and situationsMust be a problem solver with a dedication to provide solutions for issues.Must be analytical, organized and effectively communicate information and recommendations to Management.Must be confident to deal with operational challenges of the manufacturing plant and be a leader in all departmental meetings, presenting a finance perspective to the team.Must have the ability to work independently in a rapidly changing environment.Education and Experience Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance.5-7 years in revenue accounting with federal contracting experience.ASC 606 revenue recognition principles understanding and practical experience.Strong working knowledge of FAR and CAS (Cost Accounting Standards) preferred; integrated financial systems (Oracle Projects preferred), cost accounting/analysis in an actual job order cost environment.Excellent organizational skills and time management is essential.Excellent professional verbal and written communication skills.Sanmina is an Equal Opportunity Employer#J-18808-Ljbffr
