    Key Differentiator:

    Prior experience in regulatory accounting, financial reporting and statement consolidation, and preparation of a cash flow statement depending on the years of experience. Prior experience with Oracle ERP or similar applications, Workiva, and Power BI depending on the years of experience

    Responsibilities/Expectations:

    Collaborates cross functionally with others to assure accurate financial reporting information

    Prepares, maintains, and develops schedules, reports, and analyses for internal/external customers

    Assists with the monthly close process

    Performs assigned month-end activities including journal entries, account reconciliations, management reporting, SEC reporting and variance analysis

    Comprehends and prepares journal entries, account reconciliations and financial statements

    Communicates and coordinates with company partners

    Processes and analyses significant amounts of data, including issues and transactions

    Prepares and reviews FERC Form 3Q and Form 2 filings as well as XBRL tagging

    Provides requested documentation and clear explanations for audit processes

    Participates in small projects with minimal mentorship and acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience

    Other duties as assigned

    Preferred: Prior experience in regulatory accounting, financial reporting and statement consolidation, and preparation of a cash flow statement depending on the years of experience

    Preferred: Prior experience with Oracle ERP or similar applications, Workiva, and PowerBi depending on the years of experience

    Preferred: Familiarity with US GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)

    Education/Years of Experience:

    Required: Bachelors in Accounting, Finance, or related major with a strong accounting focus

    Experience required: 1 to 5 years in accounting in the energy industry

    Other Requirements:

    Demonstrates excellent organizational/interpersonal skills and safety as the utmost priority

    Proficient use of Microsoft Office applications

    Promotes effective cross-functional communication and collaboration within the team and across departments

    Strong analytical, problem-solving and financial skills
