Financial Additions has a client seeking an Accountant for an 8-month temporary contract assignment in the Irvine, CA area. This role will support the finance team with general accounting duties, month-end close, reconciliations, reporting, and project expense tracking.

Financial Additions has a client seeking an Accountant for an 8-month temporary contract assignment in the Irvine, CA area. This role will support the finance team with general accounting duties, month-end close, reconciliations, reporting, and project expense tracking.
Main Responsibilities:
- Prepare journal entries and assist with month-end close activities.
- Reconcile bank activity, balance sheet accounts, fixed assets, and sales/use tax transactions.
- Track project expenses and support variance analysis.
- Review invoices, purchase orders, subcontractor payments, and related documentation.
- Prepare reports and provide accounting support to internal and external stakeholders.
- Assist with ERP/system implementation support as needed.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, Business, or related field required.
- 3-5 years of accounting or general ledger experience preferred.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and accounting cycles.
- ERP experience preferred.
