The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, culturally adaptable, and comfortable in a collaborative, non-competitive work environment.Responsibilities:Maintain subsidiary accounting records and manage various accounting transactionsPrepare monthly and quarterly financial statements and internal reportsCoordinate with external audit firms for quarterly and annual reviewsAnalyze operational and financial data; prepare variance reports comparing budget vs. actualEnsure compliance with SOX regulations and audit requirementsSupport preparation of tax-related documents and manage bank transactionsParticipate in the implementation of new accounting systems and process improvementsQualifications:3–6 years of relevant accounting experienceBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent experienceCPA certification not required (preferred but not mandatory)Proficiency in both Japanese and English (business level) is required (reporting to Japan HQ)Experience working in a Japanese company or with Japanese business culture is a plusFlexible and open-minded personality that fits a traditional yet collaborative cultureStrong Excel and general systems skillsReporting Line:Reports to: Accounting Manager or TreasurerSupervising: None#J-18808-Ljbffr
